Old Man Winter has an undeserved reputation for glumness, harsh winds, cruel frost and other undesirable characteristics. But he is really quite warm and cheery and the deep forest benefits (as does a barn owl and three red fox) as he lights up the canopy with stars. Very nice. :0)
